About
The Swiss Dental Students Association (SDSA) is the national association of dental students from the universities of Basel, Bern, Geneva, and Zurich. We provide a platform where students from different campuses can exchange ideas, learn from one another, and actively contribute to the further development of dental education.
What we actually do
At the heart of our work are projects and initiatives that go beyond the regular curriculum. These include national events such as the Swiss Dental Students Convention (SDSC), workshops with partners from the dental practice and industry sectors, and exchange programs between universities.
At the same time, we represent the students' perspective in our dialogue with universities, professional associations, and other stakeholders in the healthcare sector.

Rooted in the nation, connected globally
The SDSA is recognized by the Swiss Dental Association (SSO) and represents the voice of students at the national level.
Internationally, we are connected through the European Dental Students’ Association (EDSA) and the International Association of Dental Students (IADS), facilitating exchange across national borders.
Get involved and take responsibility
All students in their clinical years are welcome to get actively involved in the SDSA—whether through projects, individual assignments, or serving on the board.
The general meeting is held twice a year and serves as the basis for important decisions and the association’s continued development.

The Board of Directors
The Executive Board manages the day-to-day operations and represents the SDSA externally. It is composed of students from all four universities and is elected by the General Assembly.
