The SDSA is an association that is not registered in the commercial register.

We collect and process personal data only to the extent necessary for the operation of our website and for our association’s activities.

  • Event registration / Ticket purchases

4. Newsletter

When you sign up for our newsletter, we will use your email address solely to send you information about our events, projects, and club activities.

Registration takes place in the so-called Double opt-in process. This means that after you sign up, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. Only then will your email address be added to the mailing list.

Shipping is handled via the plugin MailPoet, a service provided by Automattic Inc., USA (WordPress.com). When sending newsletters, personal data (e.g., email addresses and usage data such as opens and clicks) may be processed. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the newsletter.

5. Website Hosting (WordPress.com / Automattic)

Our website is hosted by WordPress.com a service operated by Automattic Inc. (USA). When you visit our website, technical data is automatically collected, specifically:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of access
  • pages viewed
  • Browser and device information

This data is required to provide the website and ensure its security.

6. Events and Ticket Sales (WooCommerce)

For organizing events and selling tickets we use WooCommerce as well as an event plugin. The following data may be processed in connection with bookings:

  • name
  • email address
  • Additional information regarding participation, if applicable
  • Payment information (depending on the payment provider)

This information will be used exclusively for processing your registration and organizing the event. Depending on the payment method you choose, your information may be shared with external payment service providers. Their respective privacy policies apply.

7. Photography and Videography at Events

Photographs and videos may be taken during our events. These recordings may be used, in particular, for the following purposes:

  • Event Documentation
  • Publication on our website
  • Post on social media
  • Communication and organizational purposes

By participating in our events, you agree in principle to the recording and use of photographic material.

If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, you may contact the staff on site at any time.
